Hotab – A well-known brand

Since 1979, Hotab has manufactured, supplied and serviced bioenergy plants. The plants incinerate different types of wood fuels (mainly wood chips of different moisture levels and pellets). The incineration creates renewable energy in the form of hot water or steam. The energy is used for district heating or heating of industries.
In 2017 Hotab Biosystem AB was acquired by Saxlund and today Hotab is one of Saxlund’s brands. However, the same dedicated key personnel are still behind the brand name Hotab. The production of Hotab’s plants at the workshop in Kristianstad is at full capacity, and, of course, our focus is still on producing plants and providing service of the highest quality. The difference is that, together with Saxlund, we have become a larger organization that is closer to the customer and can take on larger parts of a project. Saxlund is the complete supplier, with technical solutions and expertise for your entire plant – from bulk materials handling to combustion and purification.

Hotab’s plant built on site, 2-16 MW

Hotab’s historically most sold products are the plants that are built on site. The plants are manufactured at our workshop in Kristianstad. We can customize the equipment according to customers’ requirements. Usually, we build 2-16 MW per plant.
With our own workshop and a team of experienced staff, we can offer customers solutions that maximize the effect of the plant and provide the highest availability. Of course, our plants always meet the current emission requirements.

Transportable plants, 0.5-3.5 MW per unit

More and more people discover the benefits of Hotab’s transportable plants. The plants are manufactured in-house at our state-of-the-art workshop with the latest technology, and we can, in principle, connect any number of sections.
  • Lower investment cost due to standardized solutions.
  • From construction to full operation in only 5-7 months.
