The Tubefeeder system is designed
for the continuous discharge of bulk materials from rectangular
bunkers, large-diameter silos and open-air stockpiles. The Tubefeeder
gently handles wood chips and cutting commonly found in the
wood products and paper industry, as well as other types of
non free-flowing bulk materials.
Low Maintenance and Operating Costs
Saxlunds Tubefeeder is designed to keep maintenance and operational
costs to a minimum by incorporation of a number a special
design features:
The
conveyor screw inside the tube is shielded from pressures
exerted by the surrounding materials, thus making it easy
to drive and consuming less power.
The
tube acts as a pressure shield to reduce wear on the screw
and minimize material degradation.
The
tube and conveyor screw can be designed to run beyond the
edge of the bunker for inspection and service, even if the
bunker is full.
The unique patented Tubefeeder system consists of a
screw conveyor housed inside a rotating tube that serves
to relieve external pressure from the surrounding material.
The tube rotates independently of the screw and uniformly
receives the bulk solids through slots along the length
of the tube.
The inner screw conveyor conveys the material to the
end of the tube where it
is discharged to a take-away conveyor.
The Tubefeeder can be used in conjunction with both
round and rectangular silos. This innovative system
offers many advantages:
Cost Effective
Low energy consumption
Low wear
Low maintenance
Material Control
Control of segregation
Non-destructibility
Homogenizing
Process Control
Controllability
Continual mixing
Uniform discharge
Productivity
Long span distance
